Your D-2 Student Visa Checklist for Bangladeshi Applicants

Got your admission letter from a Korean university? Congratulations! The next step is your D-2 student visa. In Bangladesh, you apply in person at the Korean Embassy in Dhaka. Use this checklist so you arrive with everything in one go.

Step 1. Fill in the e-Form online

Since May 2025, every visa applicant in Bangladesh must fill in the application form online on the Korea Visa Portal. Print it with the barcode and bring it to the Embassy.

Step 2. Prepare your documents

Basic documents

• Visa application form (e-Form, printed with barcode)
• Passport valid for at least 6 more months, plus a photocopy
• One color photo (3.5 × 4.5 cm), taken within the last 6 months
• Your cover (forwarding) letter
• Visa fee: USD 60 for a single-entry visa

From your university

• Certificate of admission (original or copy)

Family documents

• Birth certificate (original and copy)
• Family relationship certificate from your local authority
• No-objection letter from your parents (no notarization needed)
• Copies of your parents' national ID and passports (if they have one)

Money

• Bank statement for the last 6 months
• Income tax return acknowledgement receipt or certificate

How much money do you need to show? It should cover about one year of tuition and living costs. The exact amount depends on your university, so ask its international office before you prepare your bank statement.

Study records

• Certificates and transcripts: originals plus copies attested by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh (within the last 3 months)
• English test result (TOEFL or IELTS) from the last 2 years

Just graduated and waiting for your final certificate? A provisional certificate is accepted. You then submit the original after you arrive in Korea.

Health and background

• Tuberculosis (TB) test result from a designated center, issued within the last 3 months
• Police clearance certificate from Bangladesh Police

Step 3. Submit at the Embassy

Bring the printed e-Form and all documents to the consular section of the Korean Embassy in Dhaka. Keep a full copy of everything you submit.

Mistakes that slow students down

• Old documents. The TB test and attested study records must be from the last 3 months. Plan your dates backwards from your Embassy visit.
• A short bank history. The Embassy asks for 6 months of statements, not a single balance letter.
• No e-Form barcode. A hand-filled paper form is no longer enough.
• Wrong TB clinic. The test must come from a designated center. Check the list with the Embassy first.
